Universities

In a recent publication from the CBI (Confederation of British Industry) they report

"Areas where graduate job seekers are often seen as having weaknesses are in their international cultural awareness and business and customer awareness (with 39% and 40% of recruiters reporting dissatisfaction with these respectively) and a third (32%) dissatisfied with graduates’ attitudes and behaviours of self-management and resilience."

We focus on the “How” of getting highly skilled-employment or “graduate calibre jobs” as outlined by the government in the latest  TEF framework report.

Through ‘experience-shares’, coaching and skills-workshops we take students through both physical and behavioural early careers skills but also how to overcome the massive life challenges that come with standing out in the world on your own for the first time. We believe that it is far more beneficial to offer a skill-set that is not only completely tried and tested in today’s modern job market but relatable to the individual student.

Lectures are the best way for us to engage a large group of students and cover broader subjects such as interview skills or what to expect when applying for a graduate scheme.

We use both real life and career examples in our lectures to help relate to our audience and this is really what stands us apart from other early careers teams.

We cover a large array of early careers and life skills but here are a few of our most popular lectures:

  • What to expect in the first year after University

  • What to expect in your first 6 months of your first career

  • Key behavioural skills that will make up for lacking experience

  • Interview skills and the different types of interview

Workshops and drop in centres allow us to work in more detail with a smaller student base at a time. This way we can tailor our approach to each individual student and work with them on their specific needs.

We offer a time specific workshop focusing on areas such as CV writing and online assessment coaching or we run drop in centres for half day sessions in which we are available to deal with specific student enquires one on one.

With Millennial students being more technologically advanced than any generation before us, we understand the need for online learning platforms to suit the needs of the modern learner.

As a result, we have developed our student portal, enabling students to develop and hone new skills without having to step foot in the classroom. This is comprised of a range of webinars, blogs, videos and weekly Q&A sessions to fully prepare students for the challenges that lie ahead.

This can be accessed by any device, anytime, anywhere which means the learning literally never stops!
